Who are we ?
David Taylor
Filmmaker . Director .Producer
I am an experienced writer/producer/director who has worked in the television and film industry for over twenty years.
I began my career as a puppeteer and after training with the Jim Henson organization, I went on to perform on A Muppet Christmas Carol, Treasure Island and more recently Netflix's epic puppet fantasy drama The Dark Crystal Age of Resistance.
Looking for a new challenge, I joined Nickelodeon and branched out as a producer/director creating content for comedy sketches, music performances, sport specials and eventually went on to Series Produce for Nick Jnr and win a Bafta award for best children’s channel.
Other prominent companies I have worked for are: Disney, Cbeebies, ITV, Discovery US and CBBC where I produced and directed on the Emmy award winning show Pet School.
As well as working in children’s television, I have produced and directed on high profile entertainment programs: The Paul O’Grady show and Salvage Hunters in addition to directing several films for BBC learning.
I set up Taylormade Visuals with an aim to try and work locally on more personal projects but still create visually compelling stories with a strong narrative feel.
Wether it's a promotional film, a wedding video, online content or any special event.
I always look to transfer the same values and skills I have gained during my career in film and television to any production I'm involved with - no matter how big or small it is.
Emma Taylor
Educational consultant
Emma started her career working on ITV's flagship drama London's Burning before focusing on children television. She spent several years at Nickelodeon and then went on to work for Disney and CBBC where she was asked to join the Blue Peter production team.
Wanting to work more closely with children, Emma left the world of television and became a full time primary school teacher.
Emma's everyday experience in the classroom provides valuable insight and guidance to any of our more educational projects.
